Brock's
Finance Role
August and September have been quite busy with our year end
closing processes and reporting. We have also finalized our
financial planning (budgeting) for this coming year. I have
seen God's hand in many facets of this year's process. Praise
Him.
Some of
the national projects God has granted us (you and us) the resources
and stewardship of this coming year are:
Katrina relief trips by hundreds of students and staff.
We've also partnered with www.FoundationForHope.com to match
displaced families with churches who want to provide 3 months
housing and help them find new life.
EveryStudent.com-our evangelistic website that saw thousands
of students receive Christ last year.
Forerunner-our strategy to start ministries on the next
2,000 campuses, especially the ones with no evangelical student
groups.
Student2Student- Using the web and emails to join students
around the U.S. together in concerted prayer and unified witness,
trusting God for the privilege of leading at least one other
person to Christ this school term.
Tara
was helped by Student2Student...
this past year. She attends Sandi's alma mater, James Madison.
Here is her story...
I knew a boy that was in my philosophy class and he and I began
talking one day. He asked for my screen name and noticed that
it was a reference to God. We began talking about it nearly
every single day. It was very stressful at times because he
would just argue whatever I said, and wanted more scientific
evidence. It had been nearly 2 months but I didn't give up.
We
continued talking about God and I asked him to attend Cru with
me. I could see that he was amazed and was very confused. I
could tell he was considering, and after Cru we talked for about
an hour. I asked him to go with me the following week and he
just laughed. He began to laugh even harder in response to a
statement I made. I said if you ever come to know the Lord will
you tell me so that I can praise Him for that. He laughed and
told me not to count on it. He ended up attending Cru with me
again. He came over and watched the Passion of the Christ with
me, and we talked about God. At this point we were having very
in depth and lengthy conversations about God's love, forgiveness,
grace, and existence everyday on aim.
On January 23 2005 he imed (i.e., instant messaged) me and said
these exact words-
"Any inhibitions I held earlier have been annihilated.
God loves me and I love Him for it."
"And I was thinking to myself, Man my life is just awesome
right now. I don't even deserve this much awesome."
"Then I froze."
"And I thought, No.....I don't, I don't deserve any of
it, but He's given it to me anyway because He loves me."
"And bam. I've been in shock all day."
God is GOOD!!! He has continued to work in Dabney's life. He
participated in CCC's Spring Break outreach and the San Diego
Summer Mission Project.
Thank
you
Thank you for joyously sacrificing with us to enable student's
"inhibitions" against Christ to be "annihilated"
by His love and truth.

His love together,
